We’re excited to share that Meetify has been named HackerNoon’s 2024 Startup of the Year for Charlotte, NC. This recognition means a lot because it was powered by public vote. Out of 272 submitted startups in our region, Meetify stood out as a tool people believe in. It’s a win not just for us but for everyone who values real connection in a world that often settles for virtual.
Each year, HackerNoon celebrates startups around the world that are building new solutions, challenging the norm, and shaping the future. In 2024, more than 949,000 votes were cast across 560 cities and 30,500 startups. The result? Meetify rose to the top in Charlotte, becoming one of only 164 global winners.
For a team that started with a simple idea to make meeting up in person easier, it’s an exciting validation.
“We built Meetify because we believe that in-person conversations matter,” said Dan Rutledge, co-founder and CEO. “This award means a lot because it came from the community. We’re grateful and fired up to keep building tools that make connection easier.”
If you’re new to Meetify, here’s the short version. We’re like Calendly but designed for both real-world meetings and virtual. Whether you’re a nonprofit fundraiser, a business development leader, or just someone who loves coffee chats, Meetify helps you schedule meetups at coffee shops, restaurants, or virtually without the usual scheduling back and forth.
Earlier this year, we launched on Product Hunt, where Meetify earned a #5 Product of the Day spot. Now, with this recognition from HackerNoon, we’re even more motivated to keep refining the way people connect.
Thanks to everyone who voted, shared, and cheered us on. Be sure to check out the 2024 winners or see the HackerNoon interview.
