Meeting with Purpose

For adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, finding affordable, long-term housing that fits their needs can be incredibly difficult. In Fort Wayne, Indiana, CASS Housing is working to change that. A privately funded nonprofit, CASS creates innovative and safe housing with support that empowers individuals to maximize their potential and grow in their independence.

“This is crucial to the work CASS does as a whole,” explains Brianne. “A typical coffee meeting for me involves sitting down with people who are already invested in CASS or would like to be. I hear their story, why they’re passionate about our work, and I share where CASS is headed next.”

Where CASS is headed is bold. Their residential models include shared homes with 24-hour support, independent apartments, and customizable living arrangements. They are currently working to expand their impact.

“I’m also connecting with community members in the city we’re expanding to,” shares Brianne, “so that we can learn about the needs in that community and be sure that our presence there will be a good fit. We want to be good neighbors, and that means getting to know the people we’ll be working with.”

Before using Meetify, Brianne relied on Google Calendar. It worked to a point.

“I still had to follow up with each person by email or phone call to choose a meeting spot. This led to some back and forth and took a lot longer than necessary.”

Switching to Meetify changed all that.

“All of that back and forth is eliminated,” she says. “The person I’m meeting with can feel confident that they are choosing a place and time that works well for both of us. Meetify has simplified our communication with all of the people in our network… so that we can focus on the meeting itself, not the logistics.”
